Think about fall.  What scents come to mind?

Leaves.  Cut wood.  Campfires.  Apple Pie.  Warm Chai.  Mulled Cider.  Spices like cinnamon and clove.

This time of year you can go into any candle shop, or even just the candle aisle of your favorite home store or craft store, and see row after row of orange, red, gold, brown, and green candles matching the beautiful fallen leaves.  But I don’t like candles.  I don’t like scented sprays, wax melts, or fragrance oil warmers either.  I want to enjoy all of the beautiful fall aromas as much as the next person, but I don’t want to use synthetic fragrances.

Enter the world of essential oils.  I know what you’re thinking, essential oils are for the hipster/crunchy mom (insert choice word here) and not for me.  Au contraire!  Essential oils are for everyone, and even if you aren’t interested in them for supporting your health and your body’s systems, you can totally use them to make your house smell good!  All you need are a few oils, some water, and a diffuser to get started.
