Amazon Prime Day is like Black Friday in July — but without the chaos of crowded stores or staying up until midnight to snag a deal. For homeschoolers, this is the perfect opportunity to stock up on supplies, resources, and tools for the upcoming school year while saving serious money. Homeschool deals are everywhere, but some of them go lightning fast, so you need a plan.

Whether you’re a new homeschool family or a seasoned pro, here’s how to shop smart on Prime Day and what homeschool essentials to look out for.

All items linked in this post we own, and I have used while homeschooling my children. Feel free to comment or message me if you have a question about something mentioned in this post.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2025?

Amazon Prime Day 2025 will take place from Tuesday, July 8, through Friday, July 11. This extended 4-day event offers exclusive deals for Prime members, including deep discounts on homeschool supplies, tech, and more.

Tip: You must be an Amazon Prime member to access the deals. Be sure to sign up for a free trial if you’re not already a member.

Prime Day Shopping Tips

Make a Wishlist
Create a wishlist just for homeschool supplies so you can easily track which items go on sale. Include the starting price of the item so you will know if Prime Day is actually a good deal.

Set a Budget
It’s easy to get swept up in lightning deals. Know your homeschool needs and stick to a list or a spending limit.

Use the Amazon App
You can set deal alerts and get notifications when items from your wishlist or cart go on sale.

Check Reviews and Ratings
Not everything on sale is a great buy. Look for high-quality products with good reviews from other homeschool families.

Compare Prices
Sometimes prices are inflated before Prime Day. Use a price tracking tool to see if you’re really getting a good deal.

My Favorite Homeschool Deals

I’ll be sharing a list of my top Prime Day deals for homeschoolers on my Facebook page. Be sure to check back for updates.

Some of my favorite finds from past years include:

  • Microscope
  • Montessori Children’s Knife Set
  • Table Top Easel for Painting/Sketching

This year, we are shopping for a few novels, some consumable school supplies, and lab supplies for Physics. We also have a few items for electives that we are looking for, including a sewing machine, hydroponic refills, and some resources for financial literacy.

Don’t Miss It

Amazon Prime Day is one of the best times of the year to stock up on the things that make homeschooling easier and more enjoyable — without breaking the bank.

Make your list now, and be ready to snag those deals before they’re gone.
