Hard-Boiled Farm Fresh Eggs in the Instant Pot

Ingredients

  • 6-12 farm fresh eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • ice water bath

Instructions

  1. Wash your eggs in tepid water to remove any dirt or debris.

  2. Add 1 1/2 cups of water to the Instant Pot insert.
  3. Place the trivet or egg rack in the pot.
  4. Arrange eggs on the rack in a single layer.
  5. Secure the lid and set the valve to Sealing.
  6. Pressure cook on High for 3 minutes.
  7. When cooking ends, allow a natural release for 4 minutes.
  8. Quick release any remaining pressure.
  9. Immediately transfer eggs to an ice bath and chill for at least 5 minutes.
  10. Peel and enjoy, or store in the fridge for up to one week.

Recipe Notes

  • This method works with eggs fresh from the coop or store-bought.

  • If you don’t have ice, use very cold water with a freezer pack to cool eggs quickly.

  • You can stack eggs in the Instant Pot and cook up to 18 at a time without adjusting the cooking time.
