Last Week’s Frugal Accomplishments
I saved my Girl Scout troop money by asking for a discount when I was shopping for supplies for an upcoming meeting. I don’t know why it never occurred to me to ask for a discount before since the items are for a scout troop, but I asked, and they said yes!
I made homemade iced tea instead of purchasing it at the grocery store.
We walked to the produce market and deli instead of driving.
We have been eating from the freezer and pantry all week.
I traded raspberry canes from my garden for eggs from my friend’s chickens.
My husband and I had several at home date nights watching shows on Netflix.
I found $20 in Extra Care Bucks that had expired, and my local CVS still accepted them! I was so happy. It was like found money. I was able to purchase paper towels, dishwasher detergent, baby wipes, and 2 bags of Easter candy for only $2 out of pocket.
