**CLOSED** The annual seed co-op is now closed. The next co-op will open next winter.
Welcome to the third annual seed co-op! Each winter, Greater Philadelphia Gardening & Homesteading, a Facebook community sponsored by Happily Homegrown, puts together a seed co-op for our members, and members of the community to purchase seeds for their gardens at a discount. We understand that you may want to grow a variety of fruits & vegetables in your garden, but purchasing enough seed could get very costly. By purchasing through the annual co-op, you can purchase a wider variety of seeds for less money by sharing the cost of a packet with multiple gardeners.
All of our seeds come from the Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company. They carry 1400 varieties of seed – we only share a fraction of that in the co-op. All seeds are open-pollinated, and non-GMO. I like their seeds because they offer heirloom varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs that I can’t find other places.
How does the annual seed co-op work?
- Now through January 23rd, review the attached order/price sheet and place your order.
- Pay for your order via PayPal or drop off cash/check.
- When the seeds arrive, they will be sorted and mailed to everyone who participated in the co-op.
- Seeds will arrive to you by mid-February, in plenty of time for starting your spring seedlings indoors!
